Nikita Khoo is a PhD Candidate at the College of Integrative Studies, Singapore Management University. Her research examines how health and social policy interact with household constraints, healthcare affordability, access, and lived wellbeing.
Her work draws on health policy, health economics, outcomes research, quantitative methods, and interdisciplinary policy analysis. She has a particular interest in the hidden trade-offs households make when formal policy structures meet real-world financial and caregiving responsibilities.
Her current research includes work on healthcare affordability among sandwiched households, the distinction between cost of living and quality of life, and social-spatial exclusion among middle-income populations in Singapore.
